DAY 1
NAIROBI
Arrive in Nairobi, where you will begin and end your safari.
Depending on your international flight times, you will likely spend one full day here either at the start or end of your trip.
Recently named the world’s best city to visit in 2024 by Lonely Planet, Nairobi is Kenya’s bustling, dynamic, cosmopolitan capital.
Wildlife - “The World’s Only Wildlife Capital”. Visit Nairobi National Park or one of Nairobi’s world-famous animal sanctuaries such as the Giraffe Centre, Elephant Orphanage, Nairobi Safari Walk, Snake Park, and Karura Forest.
Culture - Experience the city’s cultural and arts scene with a visit to an art gallery or collective, artisanal market, the National Museum or Karen Blixen Museum, or sample its world-class restaurants.
Days 2-3
LAIKIPIA, IL NGWESI
NAIROBI - IL NGWESI 6H (ROAD)
Travel across some of Kenya’s most breathtaking landscapes to reach Il Ngwesi Eco-Lodge. This community-owned lodge sits on 16,500 hectares of land, home to the Il Lakipiak Maasai – ‘people of wildlife’. Truly special, this award-winning enterprise combines eco-tourism with sustainable environmental management and community development.
A walking safari at Il Ngwesi is the ultimate outdoor experience. Its stunning and secluded setting makes it perfect for venturing into the wilderness. The conservancy’s expert guides will lead you through thick bush in search of white rhinos, Grevy’s zebras, African wild dogs, and much more. Track their footprints, or stop to identify medicinal plants and bird species.
Enjoy sundowners and tasty meals out in the bush, before cooling off and sleeping under starry skies in the lodge’s famous star beds.

DAYS 4-5
HELL’S GATE
IL NGWESI - HELL’S GATE 5.5H (ROAD)
Your safari will continue to a remarkable and uniquely atmospheric quarter of the Great Rift Valley. (Time permitting you will make a stop at Ngare Ndare Forest to walk through the forest and cool off by its azure pools and waterfalls.)
Hell’s Gate is a rare gem in Kenya, a National Park where you can leave your vehicle behind and walk, hike (or cycle) among herds of zebras, hartebeests, impalas and giraffes – there are no dangerous predators resident in the park.
Named for its intense geothermal activity the park inspired the Lion King and was the setting for Tomb Raider.
Compact yet diverse in terrain, with flat grasslands, steep volcanic cliffs, deep gorges, steamy vents and geysers, Hell’s Gate is a nature-lover and geologist’s paradise.

DAYS 6-7
MAASAI MARA, LEMEK
HELL’S GATE - MAASAI MARA 3.5H (ROAD)
Depart after breakfast to the Maasai Mara - the land of endless savanna! Run by local Maasai landowners Lemek Conservancy promises unrivaled wildlife viewing within a landscape of rolling grassland, hills, riverine forest, and acacia bushland.
Explore and experience this magical conservancy on foot and enjoy a more intimate insight into the Mara’s animals, plant life, and people.
All walks are led by experienced and highly knowledgeable guides from the conservancy.
This iconic safari country is where you will be able to search for the Big Five (lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, and rhinos) along with zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, ostriches, impalas, gazelles, hippos, and countless other species.
