  • Passport with at least two blank pages, six months’ validity, and a Kenyan electronic travel authorization.

    On 12 December 2023 the President of Kenya announced that Kenya would be visa-free from January 2024.

    Visitors to Kenya are now required to apply online for an electronic travel authorization in advance of travel. Some exemptions apply and can be found in full on the website of the Kenyan Civil Aviation Authority.

  • Kenya is a tropical country and as such there are a number of routine vaccines that travelers should be up-to-date with before their trip. Travelers visiting certain areas of Kenya (such as the coast or western regions) are advised to take prescription medicine to prevent malaria.     You should have proof of yellow fever immunizations if arriving from an endemic country, or you may be denied entry.

    NB. All rooms or tents on your safari are fitted with mosquito nets to protect you against insect bites.

  • It is always best to travel lightly for easy transfers between your safari accommodation.

    Clothes: Choose comfortable and casual clothing in breathable fabrics that can be layered as the temperature fluctuates. Pack a swimsuit as many lodges have a swimming pool. Bring a sun hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. N.B. Laundry is often included at lodges and camps.

    Other: Camera, memory sticks, charger, adapter plugs, binoculars and anti-malaria medication.

  • Kenya has a rich linguistic and cultural heritage, with approximately 70 languages spoken. There are two official languages - English and Swahili, spoken by the majority of the population.

  • Kenya is a year-round destination for safari and cultural tours travel. Though there are distinct seasons that dictate the rains and migration, wildlife viewing is good all year. The dry season from June to October is also the high season (when the Great Migration is at its peak in the Maasai Mara).

  • Most lodges and camps provide free WIFI. For those wishing to connect while on the road, our safari vehicles have WiFi installed.

    Additionally, local SIM cards can be purchased at Nairobi airport on arrival or from official telco provider stores.
