AMBOSELI

Amboseli Mount Kilimanjaro

Situated in the south of the country, Amboseli is one of Kenya’s oldest protected areas. The stunning backdrop of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain, makes Amboseli a huge draw for photographers and filmmakers. Though it’s most famous for its elephant population, which have been studied longer than any other in Africa, and through the support of the local Maasai has seen its numbers increase over the last few decades (bucking a wider trend). Over three days you will explore the Park’s varied landscape of acacia woodland, savanna and marshland and view many other wildlife, including buffalo, cheetah, lions and giraffes. But it’s the elephants that take center stage, with Amboseli being the best wildlife area in the whole of Africa to experience them at close range.

The jewel in Kenya’s safari crown, the Maasai Mara is one of the world’s most famous and prolific wildlife destinations. LAKE NAKURU

Journey to the Great Rift Valley and its most iconic soda lake: Lake Nakuru. This is one of Kenya’s most famous National Parks – known around the world for its flamingos, which are found in their thousands (sometimes millions). Aside from the lake, the park contains a variety of ecosystems – rocky escarpments, pockets of acacia forest and woodlands – drawing more than 400 species of birds. The park is a recognized sanctuary for the endangered white and black rhino, as well as the extremely rare Rothschild’s giraffe.
